Robinhood to Launch Tokenized Shares of OpenAI and SpaceX for European Users
Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev announced plans to introduce tokenized equity offerings in Europe, starting with shares of private tech giants OpenAI and SpaceX. The move, revealed during an event in Cannes, aims to democratize access to private market assets typically reserved for institutional investors.
European users will soon claim tokenized shares via the Robinhood app, backed 1:1 by real equity. Tenev symbolically transferred $1 million worth of OpenAI tokens to Robinhood Europe for distribution. The rollout includes over 200 tokenized U.S. stocks as part of a broader expansion into crypto services.
